Our client is an international service company in the IT sector with approx. 300 employees worldwide and headquarters in NRW. Due to the strong growth of the company, business processes and corporate structure are subject to constant change and require strategic measures. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced, innovative and entrepreneurial financial strategist as a

CFO

 

for the areas accounting, finance/controlling, human resources, legal and IT. 

As CFO you are responsible for the organisation’s financial strategy and business processes. You implement financial resolutions of the shareholders’ meeting and the supervisory board. Controlling of international subsidiaries and the management of M&A projects are also part of your tasks. You support the CEO by providing relevant data, clarifying specific business and legal issues, and evaluating corporate decision-making processes

Function

  • Support the strategic development of the company regarding all aspects and risks in the area of finance

  • Perform efficient risk management

  • Drive organisational development and promote company culture and vision

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive the company’s financial planning for all business units including international subsidiaries

  • Prepare reliable financial analysis and forecasts

  • Analyse/forecast/monitoring cash flow

  • Control and evaluate the organization’s investment plans and capital structure

  • Perform risk management by analysing the organization’s liabilities and investments

  • Evaluate overall company performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics

  • Develop investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks

  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, mergers, corporate alliances etc.)

  • Manage the Finance Committee

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

 

Technical requirements:

  • Relevant university studies; sound knowledge in the area of finance; analytical mind; excellent numerical skills

  • Many years of proven competence in strategic planning and business development as a CFO or similar position

  • Very good understanding of back office functions such as HR, accounting, finance, legal, IT, etc.

  • In-depth knowledge of German corporate financial law, as well as practice in risk management

  • Fluent in English
